Plexcalibur has been designed to be the ultimate professional distortion pedal, delivering the finest classic British tube amp tones possible. From the perfect classic 70s Plexi crunch rhythm sound, to modded 80s high gain thrash to completely saturated liquid lead tones that sustain almost forever, Plexcalibur does it all.

It doesn't sound like a distortion pedal, it sounds like a high end tube amp. No fizz, no buzz, no sterile solid state sound, no cold unresponsive artificial digital modelling strangeness.

To achieve this Plexcalibur uses an all analog circuit design that utilizes real cascading gain stages, just like the finest classic high gain amplifiers. Combined with a completely new transparent tone stack design the result is a pedal that punches like the finest amp, crunches like the finest amp and has all the harmonic warmth and subtlety of the finest amp.

The Focus and Tight switches allow you to trim the fat in your guitar tone, focusing it into the perfect crunch tone. This is perfect for darker sounder or hotter pickups that can easily “flub” out. It allows you to get the perfect classic Plexi tone in all conditions and with all guitars and pickups. It also allows you to get that classic crunchy 80s thrash chugging attack without the need for additional rack EQs or other complicated trickery. That sound is right here with the flick of a switch.

Plexcalibur also features a new second Boost footswitch. In normal mode, without the Boost engaged, the pedal is already a high gain Plexi voiced monster that goes all the way from subtle breakup to “DC” rhythm to the “brown sound” lead tone. The Boost adds an additional gain stage over this, allowing complete liquid lead gain saturation at the highest gain settings. It adds additional gain, compression and sustain to an already high gain sound. This makes shred guitar effortless while also sounding sublime. At lower gain settings it is voiced to give the perfect, complementary lead tone to whatever your gain setting currently is.

In order to deliver this unparalleled sonic performance no corners have been cut in component choice or build quality. High end audio jacks, potentiometers, switches and German made WIMA capacitors have been utilised to deliver a pedal that not only sounds excellent but offers the rock solid build quality and reliability needed on stage and in studio.
